VMN's upper control arms kit may be more expensive compared to our competitors, but we're the only one who offers a range of products to give you a choice when setting up your vehicle to build a complete package.
There are several key points a quality UCA should offer:
- Caster corrections to suit lifted vehicles. This allows the fitment of larger tyres by making more room at the rear of the vehicles. If UCA’s provide too much caster than this feature is negated as the tyre is moved too far back and clearance becomes restricted.
- Allows tyre clearance for larger diameter tyres on the inside of the wheel.
- Improved articulation by preventing the UCA from contacting the Coilover spring where fitting aftermarket suspension with greater wheel travel.
- Our angled ball joint cup allows you to restore your camber.
With an IFS vehicle, as you lift the vehicle, the angle of the wheel is altered from top to bottom and in many cases, the factory adjustment becomes insufficient to restore camber. A good UCA will revise the ball joint mount so the adjustment is recentred on the factory specification at a lifting height.
