For those of our auto customers who are in budget-wary, coil spacers provide a cheap suspension lift. Not only are they affordable, but it's also relatively easy and quick to install. A coil spacer can lift your vehicle up to 35mm. However, be mindful when installing coil spacers to make sure it won't change your suspension geometry.
It's always advisable to handle it with care to ensure no damage has been done on the lifted suspension geometry. Another risk of using a coil spacer is the possibility of shock absorbers bending or breaking due to bottoming out. The changed geometry means your shock absorbers might take the vehicle’s weight which they are not designed to do.
A solution to this is to extend your bump stops to protect your shock absorbers. This allows the bump stop to engage before damage occurs. In some situations, we also suggest using a 6mm strut spacer to trim the vehicle’s ride height and suspension travel. Normally these can be fitted without having to modify bump stops.
